Let's talk about New Year self care tips

As we embark on a new year, it's the perfect time to reflect on our well-being and set intentions for self-care. As a mental health therapist, I want to share some simple tips to support your mental health journey in the coming months.

Even though new years can be a happy occassion, it can also be difficult for some people! Sometimes, we also put too much pressure into "doing something new".

Keep reading for some (hopefully helpful) tips!

1.Reflect and Release: Take a moment to reflect on the past year—acknowledge your triumphs, learnings, and even the challenges. Then, release what no longer serves you, making room for new possibilities and growth. I know this can be hard to do! It doesn't have to be immediate to release! Set your intention and take your time :)

2. Goal Setting with Kindness: Instead of focusing solely on achievement-oriented goals, set intentions that prioritize your well-being. Whether it's dedicating time for self-care rituals or nurturing meaningful connections, choose goals that align with your mental health. Mental health is so important- and you matter!

3. Embrace Mindful Moments: Incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine. Whether through meditation, mindful breathing, or simply savoring moments, cultivating awareness can help ground you in the present and reduce stress. I try to set aside a few moments a day.It can be 1-5 minutes even! :)

With this in mind, let's jump into our weekly Therapist Mama Bear Tip!
