These past 3 weeks, we have been talking about creative outlets for self care!
It seems that I am doing more series without trying to!
Do you have a series or a topic you want me to do? Don't hesitate to let me know!
Let's jump in to this week's tips!
1.Mandalas: Channel your focus into creating intricate mandalas. This meditative art form not only engages your creative side but also promotes mindfulness, helping you center your thoughts and find a sense of calm amid life's chaos. I used to provide mandala coloring sheets for my clients often since it was a great easy way to focus and take some time to just... be.
2. Read: Dive into the world of literature as a form of creative self-care. Whether you prefer getting lost in a novel, exploring poetry, or even trying your hand at writing, the written word has the power to transport you to different realms and ignite your imagination. I love reading! I also love writing. (As you may have guessed due to me publishing a book ;)) Being able to just curl up with a good book or being in front of my computer and typing away at a story, allowing my words to folow, is a great way to focus on something else for a bit!
3.Unplug from your technology: Designate specific times during your day to unplug from technology. Disconnecting from screens opens up space for alternative forms of creativity, allowing your mind to wander, daydream, and discover inventive ways to spend your time. I know this can be super hard in such a technological connected world. I mean, I'm saying this as I type on a computer! AND it can be really helpful to designate some time away from screens! Give our eyes a rest a bit :)
With that in mind, let's jump in to our week's Therapist Mama Bear tip!
