Last week, we started chatting about body positivity! This week, we are continuing this conversation.
It is important to create a Healthy Relationship with Food and Exercise
Body positivity isn't about dismissing the importance of health; it's about reframing our approach. Focus on nourishing your body with foods that make you feel good and engaging in physical activities that bring you joy, rather than fixating on rigid diets or punishing workouts.
I know this can be very difficult- I remind myself that it is important enjoy what I do. For example,'I hate going to the gym, so I don't. But I also love waking outside in the quiet, listening to a podcast or chatting on phone!
Surrounding Yourself with Positivity
Choose to surround yourself with people and media that uplift and celebrate diverse bodies. Seek out communities that share your values and provide a supportive space for embracing body positivity.
I know it can be so hard! It can be really easy to be negative about ourselves or other's bodies. AND it is so important to find positive ways of viewing ourselves and others!
With that in mind, let's jump in to our week's Therapist Mama Bear tip!
