let’s keep chatting about negative self talk and being our worst critic!
Here are some other things we can do!
the first thing is to Treat yourself with the kindness you’d offer a friend. It’s okay to make mistakes; you deserve the same love and respect you give to others.
Try to treat yourself as a friend!! It’s hard to be our own friend, and it is so important.
second, Spend time with people who uplift you. Who are these people in your life? Who makes you smile? Positive affirmations and inspirational content can also help balance your mindset.
third- I know I talk about mindfulness a lot! Mindfulness helps keep you in the present, preventing you from getting trapped in negative thought cycles. Techniques like deep breathing and meditation can be very effective.
also, If negative self-talk is overwhelming, consider therapy. A mental health professional can provide tools to help build a more positive mindset. I think of therapy as a space to talk about things and explore yourself in a safe way.
Celebrate even small victories. Each step you take towards a kinder inner voice is a success worth acknowledging.
Remember, overcoming negative self-talk is a journey, not a destination. With patience and self-love, you’ll find your inner critic transforming into a supportive companion.
With this in mind, let’s jump in to this week’s therapist mama bear tip!
